Dr. Irfan specializes in Comparative Constitutional Law, National Security Laws, and International Refugee Laws. His primary research interest lies in the study of power structures and their implications, with a particular focus on the cratological analysis of laws. Having served in academia for over a decade, he has contributed extensively to the academic community with numerous research papers published in prestigious national and international journals.

Dr Rihana Shawl

Assistant Professor, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir.

LL.M ; PhD  (Central University of Kashmir)

With academic experience spanning over a decade, Dr. Shawl specializes in Criminology, Criminal Law, Juvenile Justice, ADR and Legal History. Currently contributing as Assistant Editor to Kashmir Journal of Legal Studies, she has authored two books and several research papers.

Mr. Mir Mubashir Altaf

Assistant Professor, School of Law, University of Kashmir.

Mr. Mubashir has a teaching experience of ten years. He specializes in  Constitutional and Administrative law and has authored a book titled “Revisiting the Mechanism of Judicial Accountability in India” besides having published multiple research articles to his name in various reputed journals.

Dr. Shahnaz 

Associate Professor, School of Law, University of Kashmir.

LL.M, PhD

Dr. Shahnaz has over 15 years of teaching experience . Her area of specialisation is Islamic jurisprudence and Family Laws. She has solely authored 2 books and co-authored several others. She also has multiple research articles to her credit.

TEAM

Mah Nashit Uzma, the Managing Editor at the Journal of Legal Theory and Practice, is a gold-medallist for her Bachelors in Law and Arts Degree (BA.LLB). She holds a masters degree in Law with a specialisation in Public International law and human rights from the University of Hong Kong. In addition to being the managing editor at JLTP, Uzma is also a human rights attorney the co-founder of the Young Lawyers Forum, Kashmir.

Haris Mir, Assisting Managing Editor at the Journal of Legal Theory and Practice, holds a bachelor’s in Law degree (from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi). Also, serving as the General Secretary in the organization. Haris has a passion for legal research and writing. His expertise lies in International Law and Trade Law, with several publications in these fields. He is also deeply interested in Constitutional Law and holds a specialization in Intellectual Property Laws.

Nishant Gulyani, Associate Editor at the Journal of Legal Theory and Practice, holds a bachelor’s degree (from UPES, Dehradun) and a masters degree (from Jindal Global Law School) in law with a specialization in taxation, Intellectual Property and Technology Laws. With a profound dedication to legal scholarship, Nishant has made significant contributions to the field, showcasing his expertise through the numerous publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and law blogs. In addition to being an associate editor at JLTP, Nishant is also co-founder of the Legal Upanishad Journal.
