The speakers at the event were distinguished personalities in the field of criminal law and social psychology:


Mr Mohammad Shafi Khan (Former Principal District & Sessions Judge) is an eminent jurist with 29 years of experience at the Bench. He is a known criminal law expert and has served at different positions of honour, including the Vigilance Commissioner with LAWDA. He has also contributed as a resource person and guest faculty at number of institutes and continues to inspire young legal minds in the valley. His vivid judgements form innumerable precedents in criminal law jurisprudence, including his landmark decision/conviction in the Chanapora acid attack case.


Advocate Abdul Aziz Teli is a senior lawyer and has served as the Special Public Prosecutor in the Union Territory of Jammu And Kashmir. He has been a key figure in securing convictions in many criminal cases, including the infamous Romana Javid Hit-and-Run case and the Chanapora Acid Attack case.


Mr. Wasim Rashid Kakroo is a Srinagar based practitioner in clinical psychology with 7 years of clinical experience in the field of clinical psychology and is actively involved in the promotion of mental health awareness amongst the general public.
